The City wants to hear from you about City Council Redistricting.

The City has embarked on a process to adopt new City Council district boundaries using the information from the 2020 US Census. Prior to drafting any new district maps, town hall meetings have been held in each City Council district to gather public input. These in-person meetings have concluded. However, there is still time to attend an interactive virtual redistricting town hall - on May 25th - and give your feedback.

Based on the 2020 Census data, the population of City Council District C, in which all of the Neartown/Montrose Super Neighborhood is currently located, exceeds the average Council district population by 15%. Thus, a portion of District C will be moved to another district or districts. Neartown would like to see all of the Super Neighborhood remain in District C

You can learn how to connect to the May 25 virtual meeting, and learn much more about the redistricting process, criteria, and timeline, as well as how to submit comments or your own redistricting plan at the link below.

Once a draft plan has been submitted and reviewed by City Council (targeted for June), there will be additional public hearings (expected in July).
