NEARTOWN ASSOCIATION (NTA) MEETING Cherryhurst Community Center, Tuesday July 22, 2003 Minutes

NTA President Raju Adwaney opened the sparsely attended meeting at 7:05 and made the following announcements:

Developer, John Hanson (owner of the Black Lab and the IBC building) has sent a letter to the city's Dept. of Public Works asking that the esplanades be rebuilt on Montrose Blvd. south of Westheimer (like on the north side of Westheimer). Raju wanted NTA to support this effort. Dana Padgett made a motion that NTA send a letter to the city in support of rebuilding these esplanades. The motion was seconded and approved by a show of hands.

The Spur 527 engineering feasibility study is now underway. The results should be available by the August NTA meeting.

Mark Johnson, NTA's volunteer webmaster, has updated the Neartown website at www.neartownhouston.com.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. NTA Secretary, Dana Padgett
